An efficient engine

LEAP engines continue to deliver on our performance commitments, with 15% higher better fuel efficiency, 15% lower carbon emissions, and much lower noise than CFM56 engines previous generation engines. Lower fuel consumption helps operators fly more people, to more places, on less fuel – opening longer routes and growing airlines’ networks.

Supporting SAF initiatives

CFM is supporting industry initiatives to approve and adopt 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). LEAP engines are compatible with currently approved blends of 50% SAF and have flown multiple demonstration flights with 100% SAF, including an Airbus A321neo flight in which both engines operated on 100% SAF.

Customer experience

Who better than our customers to talk about the LEAP engine? Longstanding customer Air Corsica welcomed us to Ajaccio airport on the French island of Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea. During this special visit, members of the airline team shared their experience with the LEAP engine on the ground and in the air on its A320neo planes.
